The Story: The Canelo tree is sacred to the Mapuche, a native people of South America. It represents the union between heaven and earth. By burning its bark, the Mapuche Shamans paid homage to canelo’s sacred purifying elements. UMO Recolector’s incense honors these traditions by only using sustainably sourced raw materials, which are hand-moulded into generous, thick, long burning incense wands. UMO has respectfully recaptured the essence of Patagonia's ancient scents. The incense is completely natural, all ingredients are ground down and pounded into a raw paste that is then rolled into incense and sun-dried.
This is not mass-produced incense. UMO is a small operation located in Chile, guided by an ethos of kindness, extending to both people and the environment. They practice fair trade, use 100% recyclable packaging, and collaborate closely with local communities to support ongoing growth and development.
